The randonneur format is a “brevet”, “licence” or “patent” in French which, applied to cyclotourism, means that participants are awarded a “title” or “diploma” for completing a route that includes some compulsory control points in which a route card must be stamped.

In the sporting event “Ruta Vía de la Plata Non Stop / Eurovelo 1” (RVP – NON STOP/EUROVELO 1), we have chosen the concept and transformed it into sport.

The Via de la Plata Route shares part of its path with the Eurovelo 1 cycle route. Eurovelo 1 is one of the 15 routes designed by the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) within the Eurovelo project.
